Favorite thing about UTHSCSA : The sense of community at UTHSCSA is indescribable. It's great when you feel like your classmates are always looking out for you because it facilitates the learning process and makes the time here more enjoyable. More importantly, the faculty and staff work hard to provide the students valuable resources and support.
Favorite thing about APAMSA: Because APAMSA is not a purely professional organization, I love that it has provided me an opportunity to network outside of the typical setting of other medical interest groups. I met a lot of great people at UTHSCSA through APAMSA, and I saw so many of my college friends at the national conference!

Favorite thing about UTHSCSA : My favorite thing about UTHSCSA SOM is the friendliness and cooperativeness of my classmates. Everyone tries to helps each other and shares resources. The environment is very cooperative and there is a lot of support.
Favorite thing about APAMSA: My favorite things about APAMSA are socializing with all the awesome APAMSA members and attending the social events. It's also a plus that we usually have pretty good food at meetings and not just pizza.

Favorite thing about UTHSCSA : I love the comfy study booths up on the 5th floor of the library (perfect for napping!) and the fact that we have a "UTHSCSA Med Foodies" Facebook page. Food and sleep = the most important things in life! :]
Favorite thing about APAMSA: BOBA... enough said.
In all seriousness though, APAMSA puts on a lot of great events, with boba drink fundraisers being just one of them. It's awesome how events like the annual bone marrow drive and other volunteer events bring the community together for a greater cause, and can often even help us connect with Asian communities outside of San Antonio.
